Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has insisted he is happy at Stamford Bridge, but admitted that he does not know whether he will still be at the club next season.
The Frenchman's contract is set to expire this summer, and it seemed almost certain that he would walk away after struggling for minutes under Frank Lampard. However, in recent weeks, Giroud has profited from Tammy Abraham's injury and Michy Batshuayi being Michy Batshuayi to earn himself a regular spot in the team.
Another great team performance today

He has scored twice in his last three league games, including a strike in Sunday's 4-0 win over Everton, and speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Giroud confessed that he is enjoying life in the starting lineup once more.
"I've been waiting for my chance and the gaffer has given me the opportunity to show my desire and be competitive.
"I'm determined to do my best to help the team. It's been five games and I've really enjoyed it. I feel really good and I want to bring something more to help us win games."
However, despite his happiness, Giroud was coy on his future, adding: "I don't know. It's too early to say but I'm happy here."
Interestingly, Giroud previously told The Athletic that he wants to earn a new contract at Chelsea, so his hesitance suggests that the Blues are the ones delaying talks. You know, because he's old.
Chelsea have a fear of anyone over 30 years old, so 33-year-old Giroud definitely faces an uphill battle to convince the club to offer him fresh terms.
He recently admitted he was determined to join either Inter or Tottenham Hotspur in January, but Chelsea were the ones who blocked the move. Both sides have been tipped to reignite their interest in the summer, when Giroud will be able to join for free.
