Peacock was forced to retire from the game at the end of last season due to a niggling knee injury. He joined us at the start of the second Premiership season (1993) and was virtually an instant hero, scoring the winner in both games against Manchester United that year, not too mention his FA Cup heroics throughout the season.
And his testimonial will take place on the 20th May and, we presume, the match will take place at Loftus Road as Peacock started and ended his career with QPR.
Peacock told the Qpr Official Site, "It's fantastic to be able to play against a side like Chelsea and I'm already looking forward to the game.
"Because I left QPR during the close season it will also give me an opportunity to say goodbye to the supporters with whom I enjoyed a terrific relationship.
"I've played in some great games for both QPR and Chelsea during my career and also enjoyed some good battles in matches between the two clubs - I'm sure it will be a great day.
We hope it will be a great day too Gavin- you deserve it mate!
