Petit said: "I think we can win trophies if we just improve some small things.
"People say we're not consistent enough - but we will try to do everything we can. I always want to win the next game because I know so many people are against us."
The French midfielder, who has yet to fully win over the Stamford Bridge faithful, believes the club and the supporters have now begun to witness the Petit we all so admired at Highbury.
"I think Chelsea fans recognise my work with the team," he said. "I enjoy football and I feel physically fine, apart from injuries."
