Glen Johnson - Competant showing, both going forward and back. Put in some good crosses and claims an assist for Lampard's strike. 7
William Gallas - Not his sort of game, looked rocked early on and never really managed to cope with the threat in the air or on the bad pitch. Lucky not to concede penalty. 6
Marcel Desailly - Same as Gallas, failed to cope with Helguson in the air, and was muscled off the ball to easily. Good goal line clearance however. 6
Celestine Babayaro - Not as good as Bridge, but played very well in his absense. Looked comfortable in possession. 7
Jesper Gronkjaer - Difficult to judge, was our biggest threat with his pace but wastes so much its hard to give him a high grade! Had a couple of great charges forward and did well to win the penalty. 8
Frank Lampard - Good goal, always available for his team mates. Needs a break soon though. 7
Claude Makelele - Not his usual self, the closing down from opposition and poor pitch played a part. Still better than most. 7
Geremi - Was he playing? Oh yeh - he hit that free kick. Not much else. Wasteful. 6 (generous!)
Adrian Mutu - Never stops running, causes so many problems for the defence of the other team. May be getting too desperate for a goal, snapping at everything. 7
Eidur Gudjohnsen - The Iceman was cool as they come with his penalty, as he says "They go left I put it right, they right I put it left" Takes a lot of bottle. One possible problem is that both him and Mutu tend to drop deep, may be need another centrew forward like Crespo to support. 7
