The Premier League (PL) are to launch an investigation into allegations that they illegally "tapped up" Arsenal's Ashley Cole.
They issued a statement today confirming that they will look into the situation.
Chelsea issued a short but sweet statement of their own and in true New Labour-speak neither confirmed or denied any wrong doing.
They said: "Chelsea can confirm it has been in discussions with the Premier League over the last few days and we will be co-operating fully with the inquiry announced today.

"It would be inappropiate to make any further comment until the inquiry is completed."
The inquiry is a result of Arsenal asking the PL to look into the situation which has been rumbling on all week following a Sunday newspaper revelation that Chelsea met with Cole and agents at a london hotel 10 days ago.
A Chelsea spokesman confirmed to me that they are
waiting to hear from the PL in respect of the parameters of the inquiry.
That's the crucial element here as it will define what will be asked and what will be the resultant punishment - if any.
It could also be so wide-ranging that other 'tapping-up' offences may be investigated.
This would not necessarily relate to Chelsea but could involve other clubs.
