Ranieri: "I Will Learn From Mistakes"

Last updated : 03 July 2002 By -
With Chelsea failing to win a trophy in the last two seasons and again missing out on a Champions League spot in the league, Ranieri yesterday admitted that he must improve as a manager if Chelsea are to end their barren streak.

Ranieri clearly states in today's "Daily Star" that costly errors made in the past must be removed.

He states: "I can't possibly have the sort of knowledge Arsene Wenger has after six years at Arsenal and because of this I've made mistakes with my players.

When you make mistakes it's important to realise them and improve from that knowledge. I won't be happy next season unless I get even more out of my boys.

At Valencia I made a young team who eventually, under different managers, got to the Champions League final and won the Spanish League. I want to do the same here".

This Chelsea team is yet to consistently show it's true ability, and with continued support from the chairman, and Ranieri's determination and professionalism, this team can surely only improve. Of that I am sure!
