Reece James has been substituted off with an apparent injury on his first game back from a knee issue.
The wing-back had been out of action since suffering a knee injury in early October in Chelsea's Champions League trip to AC Milan - a knee injury which meant he had to miss England's 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.
After an impressive first-half performance against Bournemouth on Tuesday in which he was instrumental in Chelsea's best 45 minutes of the season thus far - a 45 minutes which the Blues would end with a two goal lead - James suffered another injury setback at the start of the second half.
The England international looked visibly upset on the pitch when receiving treatment, but it is not yet known how serious the injury is.
Chelsea fans will, however, have breathed a sigh of relief when James was able to the leave the field on his on accord having been replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta.
