Having taken the reins at Stamford Bridge, Villas-Boas is being heavily linked with a number of his former charges at Porto.
The likes of Radamel Falcao, Hulk and Joao Moutinho have been generating the most speculation, but there are a number of others slipping under the radar.
One of those is Portugal international Rolando, who has become a key figure for Porto in recent years.
The 25-year-old's agent claims Chelsea may decide to lodge a bid this summer, with it unclear what the immediate future will hold.
Peppino Tirri has, however, moved to curb speculation that Rolando could be on his way to Italy, with reports suggesting Roma and Juventus are also keen on the centre-half.
"Currently there is no news," Tirri told notiziariosportivo.com.
"Regarding Juventus and Roma, there has been no contact.
"The asking price (€15million) is now well known and it is possible that Villas-Boas will look to take him to Chelsea."
