Romelu Lukaku has successfully completed the first half of his medical ahead of sealing a £97.5m return to Chelsea.
The Blues are trying to rush through the deal in the hope of registering the striker in time to play in Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup against Villarreal. Thomas Tuchel must confirm his final squad by 11pm on Tuesday evening.
It seems as though Chelsea are in with a shot of getting it done in time as Lukaku was spotted at the Columbus Clinic Centre in Milan early on Monday, and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed it was to undergo the first part of his medical.
To keep the excitement going, FCInterNews' Egle Patane posted a video of what appears to be Lukaku leaving the centre with a Chelsea shirt sat on his lap.
The focus has now turned to getting Lukaku over to England. Chelsea are looking to get him to London as soon as possible to finalise the paperwork and finish his medical, with Tuesday's deadline creeping closer and closer.
As noted by The Athletic, Lukaku is expected to fly to London either on Monday evening or early on Tuesday, meaning it could be a real race against time to have the Belgian available for Wednesday's Super Cup.
The medical had initially been planned for Sunday - ten years to the day since the medical for his first move to Chelsea back in 2011 - but Inter delayed things while they searched for a replacement. Roma's Edin Dzeko is now expected to join and there could even be another striker coming through the door at San Siro.
Lukaku's imminent arrival is expected to accelerate the departure of Tammy Abraham, who is wanted in Italy by Atalanta and Roma but is thought to favour a move to Arsenal, although the Gunners are not willing to meet Chelsea's £40m asking price.
One departure which seems more straightforward in the striking department is that of youngster Armando Broja, who has signed a new five-year contract in anticipation of joining Southampton on a season-long loan.
