That raised his transfer fee to around £20 million- a fee which would have ruled Chelsea out a week ago. But Roman Abramovich's fortune makes us potentially the highest bidders- although the player will almost certainly have the final say on things.
Here's what Roberto Assis, Ronnie's agent, had to say "It's going to be resolved on Thursday. Manchester United and Real Madrid are continuing negotiations with PSG. The club have already spoken to Chelsea regarding Ronaldinho."
However, PSG owner Francise Graille doesn't think Roanldinho would consider Chelsea's offer: "Chelsea have plenty of money, but I don't see the sporting interest in Ronaldinho going to them.
"I've been in contact with several clubs every day. Officials from Manchester United came over yesterday. Perhaps I will talk to them today. I will speak to (Madrid president) Florentino Perez this morning. Manchester United will have to put a substantial offer in for us to let Ronaldinho go."
So the saga continues but, one way or another, we'll find out on Thursday what Ronnie's plans are...
