Rotten week for all at Chelsea

Last updated : 04 May 2007 By Paul Lagan
What a nightmare week for all at Chelsea.
It started with a poor draw at home to Bolton Wanderers which ended our title challenge.
Midweek saw their exit from The Champions League to a side which never took the lead once over two legs.
The following morning came the news of a helicopter crash which took the lives of Chelsea fans.
Then came the farce of Wembley FA Cup final tickets sold long before the specified time at the box office.
This act denied eligible supporters the chance to buy their tickets.
Had Chelsea simply said they were going to open the box office as soon as enough people were in line, then fair enough, punters could make their own minds up as to how long they would queue up for. But no, Chelsea is Chelsea and not taking into account how right-minded and excited people would react meant that others were denied a chance of watching the Blues take on Manchester United at the new Wembley.
Can the week end on a brighter note - I hope so.
A win at Arsenal's Drayton Park stadium will go some way to making up for what's become a disasterous few days.
