Mohamed Salah, the 21-year -old speed merchant who terrorised Chelsea in this season's Champions League has made the move from FC Basel to Stamford Bridge.
Salah scored against the Blues home and away in the group stages and so impressed Jose a Mourinho, that he made the Egypt midfielder a top priority.
The Blues issued the following statement today:
"Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with FC Basel for the transfer of their 21-year-old attacking midfielder Mohamed Salah.
"The move is subject to the Egyptian international agreeing personal terms and completing a medical examination."
On his way out of the Bridge, at least until the end of this season is 20-year-old Josh McEachran who has gone up north again on loan, this time joining Championship side Wigan Athletic.
