Abel Balbo, a former Roma player himself and one of Samuel's advisors, revealed "Chelsea have made a big offer that Roma are considering.

And his agent Raul Oliveros added: "Chelsea's offer is huge and will be impossible for both the player and Roma to refuse."

£15 million should be enough to tempt Roma to part with one of the world's most highly rated defenders. The signing would also suggest that Marcel Desailly will leave the club this summer, and perhaps even a change of position for William Gallas...
