"I said to my players that they must stay calm in every situation. Lazio were very anxious to win this match and although they played well, they were too nervous.
"We played calmly and kept the ball very well. Everyone was fantastic."
Claudio also praised Carlo Cudicini after his heroics kept Chelsea's one goal lead intact, until the floodgates opened late on- "Carlo could make one mistake every year but who doesn't make mistakes. He is a great keeper and he has all of our confidence."
But Geln Johnson felt the sharp end of Claudio's tongue after receiving a second booking on the night for kicking the ball away: "I was very angry with Glen. He is young but he must improve in this way."
Does it get anymore satisfying than winning 4-0 in Rome??
