Hoddle is desperate to add another holding midfielder to his squad after losing Steffen Freund in the summer. But Manu Petit is going nowhere. And that has to be great news for Chelsea fans.
Petit had an absolute stormer on Tuesday night in the Champions League qualifier. It's as if a combination of not being injured (for a change) and having major competition for places has brought out the best in Manu.
And news has just reached Chelsea Mad that Spurs keeper Neil Sullivan is on his way to Stamford Bridge for a medical. Sullivan is set to be released from his Spurs contract, meaning he is able to sign for free.
The Spurs Offficial website claims that, subject to personal terms, Sullivan will be a Chelsea player later today.
