Stop-gap Smith

A statement from the Official Chelsea site said: "Mr Smith will provide an interface between the board and company management on operational issues until Peter Kenyon is able to assume his position as chief executive officer."

This whole Chief Exec thing is so tedious and, due to my unhappiness about the way Trevor Birch was treated, I am not going to comment further on the matter.
