Strike Duo Praised

Jimmy and Eidur formed a formidable partnership in the 2001/02 season, scoring over 50 goals between them. Neither could reclaim anywhere near that sort of form last season and, with a revitalised Gianfranco Zola taking centre stage, they rarely started as a partnership.

They made their first Premiership start of the season as a partnership against Wolves on Sunday, with Jimmy scoring one and laying on the opener for Frank Lampard and Eidur causing mayhem in the Wolves area on numerous occasions.

This performance Claudio Ranieri to proclaim: "Jimmy is fitter than last year, he is scoring and he has been playing as well as at any time.

"Eidur didn't score but he played very well. He was part of the first three goals, and if there was a ball near him to fight for, he would fight. He played to the final whistle."

So what's the betting that Adrian Mutu and Hernan Crespo start against Villa?
