The Stamford Bridge youngster who was shipped out to the Swans for the last three months of the season, is set to complete a free transfer to the Serie A side, after the Italians sporting director Pietro Leonardi confirmed a deal for the youngster was almost in place.

Leonardi told Italian television: 'We are very close to completing the transfer of Borini. It is only a matter of details before we wrap up the deal.'

News of Borini's impending move will come as no surprise to the Championship play-off winners, with the youngster almost joining the Italians in the January transfer window before the move collapsed.

However, he now looks certain to join Parma, much to Swansea's dismay given several fine performances from the Italian who scored six goals in eight appearances, whilst on loan at the Liberty Stadium.
