Terry – England Success Will Come

David Dunn succeeded Terry as England under-21 captain last season before earning recent promotion to the senior set-up, making his debut as a second half substitute in the friendly against Portugal.

Terry, who has recently battled through a torturous court case following a nightclub incident back in January, has already clearly outlined his ambition and intentions for both club and country stating, “At the first opportunity, I will be banging on the door to England and I will grab the chance, if it comes, with both hands.”

David Dunn, a close friend of JT, firmly believes that John’s time will come and has heralded a bright future for his friend and has called upon the public to support him.

The Blackburn midfielder told ChelseaTV, “John Terry is one of those players who can go on and play for England for a number of years to come.

“I know him well from the Under-21s and he’s a quality player and a quality lad.

“It’s a shame that things off the pitch sometimes get in the public eye but I’m sure he’s put that behind him.”

Dunn added, “It’s a shame that people look at the younger players and try and milk them. I know what’s it’s like up here as well.

“The fans and people of England have to get behind the younger players and bring them on and then, in the years to come, we can start to win things.”
