Terry looking at China

Last updated : 18 December 2016 By Paul Lagan

Chelsea skipper John Terry is mulling over the prospect of ending his Chelsea career with a move to China, writes Paul Lagan.

Terry, 36, signed as a trainee for the Blues in August 1997 - and is out of contract at the end of the season and is expected to head East along with team mate Oscar in the summer.
The SW6 club have confirmed that no talks about a extension of his playing contract has taken place and any, if they do occur, will take place closer to the end of the season. Terry is free to talk to other clubs in January.
If he decides to continue playing, Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, who are managed by ex-Blue Gustavo Poyet will be his destination. He would earn close to £175,000 a week in China, a fraction of the money he is currently on at Chelsea.
