The top 10 best selling football jerseys in Europe have been revealed, and there's a rather surprising top seller.
Despite Lionel Messi's marquee move to Paris Saint-Germain and Cristiano Ronaldo's blockbuster Manchester United switch, Bayern Munich have topped the list for 2021.
A study carried out by Euromerica Sport Marketing revealed that the German club sold 3.25m jerseys between January 2021 and December 2021 - 200,000 more than any other club. Real Madrid were the second-highest sellers, shipping out 3.05m shirts in Europe.
Four Premier League clubs made the top 10, with Liverpool beating Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City to the title of biggest selling English side. The Reds were third on the list overall, with Man Utd one spot behind in fourth.
Elsewhere in the rankings Juventus made the cut as the only Italian team in the top 10, sitting an impressive fifth on the list - possibly due to Ronaldo being at the club for a good chunk of the year.
The biggest surprise on this list is PSG's low ranking. Les Parisiens sit ninth and sold just 1.18m shirts despite signing Messi.
