Chelsea may have to move away from Stamford Bridge should they get the go-ahead to redevelop Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have a stadium capacity of about 42,000, and are currently putting together a feasibility study which will involve consultaions with local authorites, residents and fans in order to asscertain the perametrers for increasing the ground to 60,000.
One aspect of this is deciding if the club will still play at the Bridge during the revamping of the Bridge or move away to ensure a speedier construction.
The home of English football Wembley is in the frame, but Twickenham is the prefered option.
There will be a number of obstacles to overcome, not least local resident fears..
But that is still a few seasons away at least.
The Blues are determined to avoid any possible confrontation with fans and residents as they seek to increase capacity which will, in turn, increase revenue.
