Vieri cost Inter an incredible £32 million when he joined them from Lazio and he has been worth every penny, scoring goals for fun. Indeed, at nearly every club he has played at he has scored bagfuls of goals. One thing worth noting though, is that he hasn't picked up too much in the form of silverware- an incredible fact, considering the clubs that he has played for.

Reports suggested that Chelsea had got as far as agreeing terms with Vieri after reportedly having a £20 million bid accepted for the Italian hitman. Yet Inter have now quashed these rumours.

A statement released by the Milan based club said "There is no agreement with any club, there are not even any negotiations. Christian Vieri is an Inter player and he will wear Inter's shirt next season as well. There is no doubt at all about that."

That settles that then- doesn't it???
