Vieri Staying Put

Vieri told Planet Football that he is glad that Inter rejected Chelsea's offer for him, as he has no intentions of leaving the Milan based club.

It was reported that Chelsea offered £20 million for Vieri, an offer which was flatly turned down down by Inter owner Massimo Moratti. Moratti then explained to Roman Abramovich that Vieri was not for sale at any price.

Does he not realise that Roman has £3.8billion?? But it would seem that he has his head screwed on, as anymore than £20million for a 30-year old player is madness! So that seems to be the end of that.

However, Patrick Kluivert remains a target. He is available for a paltry £1.25 million, although his wage demands are around £140,000 a week.

Chelsea are thought to be willing to offer up to £100,000 a week, which is about as much as Kluivert could possibly hope for considering the depressed state of the transfer market.
