New boss Andre Villas-Boas has being impressed by the performance level records of most of his squad but is still a tad mystified.
He has being pouring over the data to try and work out why Chelsea had a mid-season dip in form which cost them the league title.
But, like Carlo Ancelotti before him, he is still unable to come to any firm conclusion, the data appears to suggest the players were operating at close to maximum efficency.
Villas-Boas, who took over as the club's manager two weeks' ago has spent much of the time digging deep into the records. He has looked at the season record as a whole but crucially he is delving into the data from late October to early November, the time the team's season derailed.
He still has a little time to come to firm conclusions and alter training, as the players are due to return from their holidays and start pre-season training.
