Andre Villas-Boas took a swipe at the powers that be who decide the festive period fixtures suggesting some clubs will have an advantage over others.
“I have the utmost respect for the festive period,” he said by way of an opener.
“But it’s not fair for the calendar to be spread in this way – it is wrong.
“All teams must do this; it’s not fair that just some do.
“We should not play again within 48 hours. All players undergo physical integrity which can undermine their careers.
“The second game after a match is the worst time for injuries.
“It’s a risky situation which can lead to career threatening situation.
“Wolves are in the same situation as us, maybe worse," he concluded.
