Goalkeeper Sam Walker has today completed a permanent transfer to Colchester United, confirms Chelsea FC.
The 22-year-old has been on loan with the League One side since last January, and has so far made 48 appearances for the club.
Walker joined Chelsea as a schoolboy and was a key figure in our 2010 FA Youth Cup success, our first triumph in that tournament since 1961. The following season he was part of the squad that won the National Premier Reserve League before loan moves with Barnet, Northampton Town, Yeovil Town and Bristol Rovers.
