Speaking in the Evening Standard, Lamps said: "You are always wanting to strengthen the squad but at the same time you wouldn't want to rock the boat. We have a really steady ship at Chelsea and we're going well."
We all know that Jose is looking for a wide player to replace either Duff or Robben should they be injured, but Lamps is confident that the Blues, five points clear at the top of the Premiership, should keep things as they are.
He added: "The players have that much belief in the manager, that if he feels he has to do something then that would be the right decision.
"The summer showed that when he signed players they were not superstars, although the owner would have no doubt sanctioned that if that's what he wanted.
"Not many people knew much about Tiago but now everyone is saying what a good player he is. The same goes for Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho. They're not massive stars but what good players they both are."
