In an extraordinary interview in the Sun, Baba says: "I thought I was laid back but Marcel is even more laid back then me. He'll come in for a game and he won't even know who we are playing.

"He will say to me 'Baba, who are we playing today?' It will be midday and we'll be at lunch and he still doesn't have a clue.

"Then he comes into training during the week and doesn't know what day it is. But he still gets out there and does the business. He does his job and he's a great player and an excellent captain.

"He knows how to handle the boys and have fun- but he's also brilliant on the pitch."

Nice to know that our skipper is prepared for matches! Even when Baba tells Marcel that we are playing Sunderland, he still doesn't know who we are playing!
