Chelsea have made £73m plus bid for Kaka according to some sources.
But Chelsea have taken the unusual step of stating that they haven't.
So who is telling the truth?
Sky Sports have a mission statement of sorts which says "We are not wrong for long."
Which basically says that they are quite happy to correct anything they have got wrong.
But they are adamant that their source is correct and they do have deep contacts in both Italy and Spain to back up their assertion.
It does look as if AC Milan's playmaker is the subject of a tug-of-war with his current club and Real Madrid.
Madrid has bid the best part of £50m for the Brazilian, but Roman Abramovich would love nothing better than scupper a major European rival.
Don't forget, Madrid sold Robinho from under Chelsea's nose to Manchester City last season, so there could be some ill-feeling between the two sides.
Noises from Milan suggest this deal - either to Madrid or Chelsea could be concluded by the weekend. Whatever happens Kaka will be the man to benefit.
One man at Chelsea desperate to seal a succession of top deals is chief executive Peter Kenyon.
There are rumours abound at SW6 and were doing the rounds at Wembley on Saturday that Kenyon is on borrowed time at Chelsea.
The elevation of Frank Arnesen to the top job would be a major shock to those outside Chelsea, but he is well regarded by the very top brass at Chelsea.
Chelsea-mad does not believe any of these rumours, but time will tell.
If Kaka does suddenly turn up in Chelsea blue next season, no one would be surprised, but they say they haven't asked about him and Chelsea have not said anything about Kenyon's future.
