Cole, Arsenal's first choice left back, has heaped the pressure on Chelsea with his comments- but Claudio Ranieri is used to it by now, thanks to PEter Kenyon and the English media.

But he didn't need it from one of his opponents as well! Cole said "If we beat them in both games we could end up getting Ranieri the sack.

"You keep hearing that he is going to get the sack. I don't think that’s fair. I feel sorry for him because he is a great manager and, from what I have seen, a nice man.

"Any manager who has that sort of money would build a great team. They have got great players. But they are under more pressure than us.

"We'll go into the cup game as if it is a normal match - but they have spent all this money and I think they have to get results now."
