Long Summer...

One of Chelsea-Mad's rival sites, seems to have a lot of transfer news that you don't see elsewhere... However, upon closer inspection these are all rumours taken from the Spanish newspapers- a country, who's press seem to be able to come up with the most ridiculous rumours.

But on the official transfer front, it would appear as if Ambrosio and Macho won't be joined by too many other new signings this summer. The rumours linking Hidetoshi Nakata to Chelsea have not been denied though, unlike the Batistuta and Bowyer deals, although these rumours are only being touted in Japan.

And William Gallas has today said that he is waiting to see what Chelsea offer him (in terms of a new contract) and also which players we will be signing before he makes any sort of decision on his future. If the Nakata rumour is serious, expect Gallas to sign a new deal- if not, well, lot's not even speculate on that...

Oh, and the David Beckham saga (saga, what bloody saga!) has finally come to an end, with the England skipper signing for Real Madrid. All I can say is, it's about bloody time! The press have made Man United out to be the bad guys in all this, yet Beckham didn't exactly make an effort to deny the rumours. In all fairness, both parties are better off without each other and Beckham will soon be free to flourish in a central midfield role in the Santiago Bernabeu- if he makes the team that is...
