Petr Cech - No chance for Phillips' goal and will count himself unlucky after making a fantastic save from the same player just moments earlier. Other than that, didn't have an awful lot to do. 7
Glen Johnson - Started the game poorly but grew in confidence as the game went on, giving former Blue Graeme Le Saux a torrid time. Magnificent run to create Gudjohnsen's first goal. 7
Robert Huth - Marshalled Peter Crouch excellently and a constant threat from attacking set-pieces. Seems to be cutting out the mistakes that were previously letting him down. 8
John Terry - Not the best game he'll play, but still solid enough from the Chelsea skipper. Occasionally caught out of position but, on the whole, a good performance. 7
William Gallas - Got forward at every opportunity and still managed to keep up the defensive side of his game. 7
Claude Makelele - But for JT and Lamps, Claude would be player of the season. Yet another fantastic display, the French midfielder never looked rushed or under pressure and, as Claudio Ranieri once said, he is the battery in our watch. 8
Frank Lampard - Doesn't have bad games and, when up against his cousin Jamie Redknapp, there was only ever going to be one winner. Tad fortunate for his goal but if you don't buy a ticket, you won't win the lottery. 8
Joe Cole - Full of energy and direct running as always but his play wasn't as effective as in recent weeks. Withdrawn by Jose Mourinho at half-time, possibly with one eye on Bayern Munich on Wednesday. 7
Damien Duff - Hasn't hit top form for a while now and this was one of his quietest games this season. Yet the team continues to win and one would hope that Duffa is saving his best for Bayern. 6
Eidur Gudjohnsen - Revelling in his new role in midfield, Eidur was directing the play for large periods. And the Iceman proved that he is not just a creative force as he scored two terrific goals. If only he was this clinical every week... 8
Mateja Kezman - Didn't get the rub of the green and looked frustrated for much of the game. His worst game for a while. 6
