Shut It Kenyon!
The man is deemed to be incredibly successful in football- so why he is acting like a complete cretin at present? Yesterday Peter Kenyon said (only after the LMA criticised the way Chelsea were handling the Ranieri affair): "This wave of unprecedented and continuous media speculation about Claudio’s future and false links to other managers is unhelpful to our manager and the players in the build-up to an important match in the Champions League."
Which is a fair enough statement by almost anyone. Except for Peter Kenyon. Yes, the very same Peter Kenyon that had this to say a few weeks back: "If you leave the investment aside it will be a huge disappointment if we don't win anything. I'm sure the fans would agree with that. If you include the investment, however, it will be a failure if we don't win something. That is the way the manager will see it because we are expected to win things. That's what we do."
And then these comments, again from Mr Kenyon: "Roman wants exciting, good football. It is not just a case of winning with more draws than anyone else or fewer goals. He does understand from a real fans' perspective that you all want to romance about the fifth goal that got knocked in from 30 yards."
No Peter, you are an idiot. You don't understand what the supporters want, nor do you care about that. All you care about is how much money you can make. And how much you can lick Roman's arse!
What the supporters want is a team that wins things. We want nice football, but not at the cost of success. We've seen where "sexy football" got us in the past.
And we do not consider this season to be a failure without winning a trophy. Most Chelsea fans are realistic enough to know that a great team isn't born overnight. And most Chelsea fans are keen to see this bunch of players to mature into a team under the leadership of Claudio Ranieri.
So pipe down about what we want- because you really don't have a clue! If you were a real man, you would have let us know what Claudio Ranieri's situation is- but you don't even have the balls to do that.
I was as happy as the next fan to see Roman Abramovich take over the club. It was bad enough seeing Trevor Birch forced out to be replaced by Kenyon soon after. Birch, like Claudio, is a true gentleman. Despite him virtually rescuing the club from administration, he was tossed aside without even an after thought.
And Claudio Ranieri looks set to suffer the same fate, despite all of his efforts for this club.
Peter Kenyon- we hate you!
Claudio Ranieri- you will forever have a place in our hearts!
