Chelsea slumped to another defeat, this time in the Champions League as the went down 2-1 in the Bay Arena tonight.
The Blues are now in third place in Group E but will progress into the knockout stages if they beat or get a low draw against Valencia in two weeks' time at Stamford Bridge
Despite taking a 48th minute lead through Didier Drogba, Chelsea conceded a poor goal when substitute Derdiyok, with his first touch of the ball, headed into the net when the Blues defence was caught napping.
Drogba had a good shout for a penalty turned down, before the last minute header, direct from a corner, by Manuel Friedrich meant the Blues left Germany pointless.
