Mario Melchiot - Still lacks defensive awareness on occasions, and seems to not be concentrating. Did, however, link well with Jesper on occasions. Will he be here next season? I doubt it. 7
John Terry - Immense. The future of England and Chelsea. Won everything in the air. Loves Ranners to bits too! 9
Robert Huth - He will learn! Maybe getting sent off at Old Trafford will wake him up a bit. Two silly bookings, especially the first one. The second was cynical and was understadnable, but not if you have alrady been booked! Played well though when he was on the field. 6
Wayne Bridge - Got forward and back very well, limiting Ronaldo to tame crosses that were easily dealt with. Put in a few decent crosses a centre forward like Hernan Crespo would've gobbled up! 7
Joe Cole - Played very well, unlucky to be subbed but we needed a more defensive player. He seems to have learnt when to release the ball and when to run with it, and leaves gaps very cleverly for Bridge. Against both Man Yoo and Monaco, Brdige has found himself in acres of spaces, very advanced, with time to cross. This is becasuse Joe is pulling them inside playing a simple ball and Wayne is getting released. His short passing and close control were impressive as ever. 8
Claude Makelele - Another game he wasn't noticed in. He always plays the simple ball and keeps the game ticking over. Very rarely does he mis-place a pass or lose the ball. Proves his 17 million poujnd price tag was money well spent. 7
Frank Lampard - Showed an incredicle range of long and short passing, as well as good inter linking play with Gudjohnsen. Gets forward and back very impresively and is quickly turning into the complete midfielder. 8
Geremi - Played similar to Makelele. He was always available and helped spread play well. 7
Jesper Gronkjaer - Scored a great goal, that he actually meant! Was always an outlet that was available and contributed very well in attacks, working well with Melchiot on occasions. 8
Eidur Gudjohnsen - The only one of our strikers who could've played that role well. Linked well with the midfield, Frank and Joe especially. Been one of our most consistant players, especially of late. 8
